RECENT events​​​​​​​


November 2018: Manitoba mining lawyer Andrew H. MacSkimming spoke to a plenary session of the Central Canada Mineral Exploration Convention (CCMEC) on Mining Finance in Winnipeg.


October 2018: Andrew was confirmed as a Member (lay, voting) of the governing Council of Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba, the self-regulatory body for engineers and geoscientists in Manitoba.


September 2018: Andrew was elected as a member-at-large of the CBA National Environmental, Energy and Resources Law Section. 


June 2018: Andrew was named by the Province of Manitoba as a member and Vice Chair of its Expert Advisory Council on Manitoba's Climate and Green Plan. 


Andrew was Co-Chair of the 2018 CBA National Environmental, Energy & Resources Law Section Conference held May 31st and June 1st, 2018 at the Winnipeg Fairmont.  He also spoke on Non-GHG Emissions from Aviation on the Aviation & Environment Panel at the conference in addition to moderating panels on Aviation, Agriculture and Financial Markets.  


Andrew was delighted to speak to the Manitoba Environmental Industries Association Remediation and Prevention Conference on Structuring Financial Security for Contaminated Sites on April 26, 2018 in Winnipeg.

Andrew was pleased to be invited back to the MPDA to speak on Understanding Option Agreements in the Mining Industry on September the 6th, 2017. 


Manitoba mining lawyer Andrew MacSkimming was delighted to speak on Understanding Confidentiality Agreements in the Mining Industry to the Manitoba Prospectors and Developers Association (MPDA) on July 5th, 2017.​                       


Andrew spoke to the Manitoba Bar Association's Environmental, Energy and Resources Law Section on the Canadian Carbon Pricing Plan: Approaches Across Canada on April 21st, 2017, highlighting the potential impacts and opportunities for industry.


Andrew was the co-moderator of a joint Ontario Bar Association and Canadian Bar Association panel on Climate Legislation: Cross-Country Check-Up on January 18, 2017 in Toronto.
